Breath-taking is too small a word for this magnificent item. The throne, which we've actually had the privilege of sitting in, is truly full-sized. The seat is wide and will easily hold a 6 ft, 200-lb man. (The chair is cold-cast resin, so there are weight restrictions--if your 400lb cousin comes to visit--hide the throne!)
The detail is utterly spectacular, taken from the actual Royal Throne found in Tutankhamuns tomb. The scene depicted shows Tut and his young wife Ankhsenaten in a touching, very informal pose. The back of the seat, although not pictured, is also heavily decorated. This is another item on WizardSteves wish list. And another reason why we need a bigger house!

Anubis is just so very, very cool in black and gold with his staff and his Ankh rattle. Anubis, the jackal-headed god, ruled the underworld during the oldest periods of Egyptian history, and later, assisted and protected Osiris in that position. Anubis was primary invoked for protection of the deceased, and even the deceased Osiris sought his guardianship. His cult was extremely long-lived, and priests of the various Anubis cults were extremely powerful in ancient Egyptian society.
