Sarasvati, Goddess of the Arts and Learning
The consort of Brahma, this wonderful Hindu goddess is the goddess of the arts and music. She is frequently depicted playing a "vina" or "bina", a musical instrument resembling a sitar. She was originally considered a river goddess. Her mount is a peacock, reminding us to bridle our arrogance and pride in outward things.
